"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference."
Many things in life can't be altered without a great deal of pain or money. That is a sobering thought for many of us who like snappy remedies for pesky problems. But we can do something.
We can belly up to our problems, face then head-on, and ask God to help us find contentment in spite of them. He will help us put unchangeable things into perspective. I have started asking God to give me "new eyes" to find contentment in all circumstances.
