Yesterday was my first day of the Love Dare challenge. Dare #1 forced me to stop and think before speaking to Chris. I need practice with this. So far, so good! Here is the Dare for today, day 2.
In addition to saying nothing negative to your spouse again today, so atleast one unexpected gesture as an act of kindness.

Hey, Car! I think posting this Love Dare is GREAT...that means you are going to blog EVERY DAY FOR 40 DAYS!!!! LOL
I'm actually NOT going to do the Dare with you, and here is why: I bought the book around Valentine's Day because I wanted to do it...Sam and I are, I guess you could say, just kind of at a "stand still" in our marriage...does that make sense? Anyways, I was going to do it, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized how important it really is and how much commitment it's really going to take...for 40 days. I don't want to start it until I know for a fact I'm ready to take it on and not just casually do it, but really put my heart into it. Sam started a new job and doesn't get days off--he works 7 days a week. I just started at the Post Office, and it's WAY more difficult than I thought it would be--I've failed 3 training tests already! And, as you can relate, since I'm alone with the kids 7 days a week, they are driving me BONKERS!!!!! :) So, I'm sure you didn't want to hear all of that, but that's my excuse for not going on the journey with you--yet. :)
And, one more thing: yes, u were twisting my arm about coming to see you! That's awesome that Chris is off Thursday-Sunday now...in fact, that would be a PERFECT opportunity for you guys to take a trip to Wichita/Valley Center...you would have time to visit family AND FRIENDS! And, guess what? Sam gets the next two weekends off this month...and I only work for 4 hours each evening. We could even find sitters and just go out on a double date------now, am I twisting YOUR arm yet???? It IS your turn to come here, ya know!!! ;)
